Overview
Wampfler Energy Supply Systems are designed for safety, ease of installation, flexibility and minimal maintenance requirements. They are available in Single Pole, Multi Pole, Enclosed Rail and Inductive Power Configurations.
Single Pole: Program 811
(10 Amps - 100 Amps)
The Wampfler 811 Conductor rail system offers a modern power supply solution using individual, single-pole insulated conductor rails. Typical applications for 811 include cranes, hoists, monorails, building power, control signals and data signals. 811 systems can be installed in either indoor or protected outdoor environments.
For up to 100 Amp applications, the conductor rail is fabricated from copper. Steel rails are supplied for systems that do not exceed 32 Amps. For less than 10 Amp applications, datametal rails are available. Conductor rails can be installed vertically or horizontally, straight or curved. Spacing between rails can be as little as 20mm.
Single Pole: Program 812
(25 Amps - 400 Amps)
The Wampfler 812 Conductor rail system offers a modern power supply solution using individual, single-pole insulated conductor rails. Typical applications for 812 include traveling cranes, loading bridges, container traffic and people mover systems. 812 systems can be installed in either indoor outdoor environments.
For up to 140 Amp applications, the conductor rail is fabricated from steel. Aluminum with stainless inserts is used for 200 Amp and 320 Amp systems and Copper is available for 250 Amp and 400 Amp applications. Conductor rails can be installed vertically or horizontally, straight or curved. The spring operated collectors can accommodate vertical or horizontal misalignment and are available in single or double shoe versions.
Single Pole: Program 813
(200 Amps - 1250 Amps)
The Wampfler 813 Conductor rail system offers a modern power supply solution using individual, single-pole insulated conductor rails. Typical applications for 813 include traveling cranes, loading bridges, container traffic units and people mover systems. 813 systems are specified in applications with high energy consumption requirements or harsh environments.
Copper rail is used for 500 Amp, 800 Amp or 1250 Amp applications. Aluminum rail is available in 500 Amp, 800 Amp and 1000 Amp configurations. For 200 Amp or 320 Amp applications, 813 is available in steel. Conductor rails can be installed vertically or horizontally, straight or curved.
Multi-Pole Program 831
(100 Amps - 125 Amps)
The Wampfler 831 Multi Pole conductor rail system protects against direct contact and is designed in a flat, multi pole profile. The system is recommended for high storage bays, cranes, transport trolleys and special machinery. It can be used for energy transmission indoors and weather protected outdoor applications.
The conductor rail poles are enclosed in plastic profiles which can have 3, 4 or 5 conductors. 125 Amp, 100 Amp and 60 Amp systems are supplied in copper rail. 32 Amp is available in galvanized steel and 10 Amp is supplied in data-metal.
Enclosed Rail Program 842
(35 Amps - 140 Amps)
As with all Wampfler conductor rail systems, Program 842 is designed for safety, ease of installation, flexibility and minimal maintenance requirements. The system is recommended for cranes, high storage systems, electric hoists, transfer vehicles, electric tools and other mobile electrification needs. The rail can be installed indoor or outdoor, straight or curved.
Current strips (up to 7 poles) are available in 35 Amp, 60 Amp, 100 amp and 140 Amp configurations.
IPT - Inductive Power transfer (Contactless Electrification)
IPT opens many new possibilities to designers requiring mobile electrification systems. IPT is the first large scale contactless power transfer system to revolutionize the way moving machines may be supplied with electrical power.
Principle of Operation:
IPT is a contactless power transfer system that allows electrical energy to be supplied to mobile equipment without any mechanical contact. Each system is comprised of two parts, the primary and secondary. These are magnetically coupled, similar to a conventional transformer. The primary consists of a track power supply and track cable along the path of electrification. The pickups and pickup regulators form the secondary. Unlike a conventional transformer, where primary and secondary are tightly coupled, IPT is a loosely coupled system. With higher operating frequencies (10 kHz to 25kHz, power may be transferred across air gaps of up to several centimetres.
IPT Highlights:
New System Solutions - The unique features of IPT enable the design of new solutions for conventional problems and open new possibilities for system designers.
Safety and reliability - IPT is intrinsically safe.
Unlimited speed and acceleration - Unlike traditional mechanical contact electrification systems, IPT has no speed or acceleration limitations.
Harsh and sensitive environments - Having no galvanic contacts and absolutely no wear, IPT is ideal for operation in harsh and sensitive conditions, even in water.
